Penny is currently sitting on my lap and grumbling for a walk. She has started making the most gorgeous little noises when she wants attention, not quite a growl or a bark but an actual grumble. I find it charming when she has those little grump moments. So, I’ll leave you with my Nourished Life Gratitude List 2016 – Week Thirty-Nine while I take Penny for her walk. Chris and I went out for some shopping on Thursday night, and we made time to sit down and have a nice dinner during our outing. I had a delicious roasted vegetable and haloumi stack and Chris had the most glorious looking burger. We talked about everything from politics to Penny. I’m grateful to be marrying my best friend who I can always have an interesting conversation, and occasional thrilling argument, with. My yoga teacher and I are working on something very exciting together. Julie is the genius behind Kesh & Bai – I love her bright workout tights and her teaching style too 🙂 Julie and I have just clicked over the past few months and I am truly grateful she came into my life.
On Saturday afternoon Jess and I ran the Twilight Series Bay Run 5k. It was a lovely day down by the water and Mum and Dad drove us down and served as an awesome cheer squad. I am so grateful that Jess and I could share this day and that our parents are still so active in our lives even though we are grown up (well, mostly grown up). And we achieved our goal to finish under 32 minutes – 31:37! So happy! Afterwards we had a pizza and ice cream dinner because we really aren’t that grown up at all 😉 I was waiting on the arrival of two books this week (going through a mad book buying phase at the moment) and when my shipment arrived they had sent me one incorrect book. I got in contact with customer service and they were so polite and prompt with their response and rectification. I am grateful that this company pays so much attention to its customer service – the books will be even more enjoyable because of it! Saturday morning was the most perfect spring day! We started our morning with a trip to the markets. I have so many fruits and vegetables in the fridge, I can’t wait to decide how to use them in lunches and dinners this week. I am grateful to have access to such fresh and affordable produce when so many other people do not.
Tell me, dear readers, what are you grateful for this week?
